Important Notice: Fake Emails Impersonating GigiMagine

Fraudulent emails pretending to be from trusted sources are on the rise. Recently, emails have been sent impersonating GigiMagine, using my name, photo, logo, and Wix-related language to appear legitimate. These messages claim urgent issues like Wix compliance problems, SSL errors, domain renewals, plugin updates, SEO requirements, or website shutdown deadlines. Many come from Gmail or other unofficial addresses. This post will help you recognize these scams and protect yourself from falling victim.

How Fraudulent Emails Impersonate Trusted Brands

Scammers often copy elements from real companies to trick recipients. In this case, the emails use:

  • My name and photo to create a personal connection

  • The GigiMagine logo to appear official

  • Wix-related terms to sound relevant and urgent

They try to create a sense of urgency by mentioning compliance issues, SSL certificate problems, or website shutdowns. These tactics pressure recipients to act quickly without verifying the message.

Common Signs of Fraudulent Emails

Knowing what to look for can save you from scams. Watch out for:

  • Sender’s email address: Official messages come from verified domains, never generic Gmail or free email services.

  • Urgent language: Phrases like “immediate action required” or “your website will be shut down” are red flags.

  • Requests for sensitive info: Legitimate companies don’t ask for passwords, payments, or access permissions via email.

  • Suspicious links: Hover over links to check URLs before clicking. Fraudulent links often lead to unrelated or fake websites.

  • Poor grammar or spelling: Many scam emails contain mistakes or awkward phrasing.

  • Unexpected attachments: Avoid opening attachments from unknown or suspicious sources.

What to Do If You Receive a Suspicious Email

If you get an email claiming to be from GigiMagine or me but it looks suspicious:

  • Do not reply or engage with the sender.

  • Do not click any links or download attachments.

  • Do not provide passwords, payment details, or grant access to your Wix account.

  • Forward the suspicious email to me at gigi@gigimagine.com for verification.

  • Delete the email from your inbox.

How GigiMagine Communicates Officially
